John began his AMH journey in 1993 as a Trainee Accountant. He’s been with us ever since, becoming a Senior Client Partner in 2008.
David Savidge FCCA
David joined Allen Mills Howard way back in 1987, as an Accounts Clerk. A Senior Client Partner since 1995, he’s approaching his 40th year with the firm.

The Story of Allen Mills Howard
The firm was founded in the city centre of Manchester in 1965 by accountant, John Mills.
In 1969, Stephen Howard joined the business as a junior, before being made partner to form Mills Howard & Co. Stephen has remained with the firm ever since and is approaching an incredible 60 years of service!
The 1980s was a period of change for the firm. AMH relocated to Hyde in 1981, and rebranded to 'Allen Mills Howard & Co' in 1986.
David Savidge joined the team as an Accounts Clerk in 1987. He remains with the company to this day, having become a partner in 1995.
John Isherwood joined the team in 1993 as a Trainee Accountant. John remains with AMH accounts more than 30 years later and has been a Partner since 2008.
All our Senior Client Partners have attained ACCA Fellowship status. FCCA accreditation is the highest level awarded by ACCA, signifying exemplary professionalism, expertise, and dedication to the profession.
In 2025, we joined forces with the Danbro Group. Danbro are a family owned and family run provider of accountancy, payroll, and financial planning services across the UK.
